There's Something About Vintage Postcards...

There's something about vintage postcards...
I cannot quite put my finger on it... 

Quite often, while thrifting for treasures... 
My eyes will fall upon a old postcard... 

To me, time stands still...

Perhaps it it the fragile feel of the fraying paper as I hold it between my fingertips... 
The lingering scent of the many places it's been... 
Or the captivating images of days gone by...

Maybe it is the simple daydream to be transported, to a distant place, in a land of leisure...
Cradled within the beauty of a natural landscape...
Delighted in the innocent of young love...
Warmed by the romantic embrace by a blissful couple... 
or even...
Mesmerized by a sexy bombshell, coyly smirking... 

Perhaps it is more complex than this... 

After all...
There is another side...
Of real, handwritten words...
Actual, postal addresses...
Stamps of long ago... 

Which are forever frozen in time...

Nostalgia....
